Dear
Prospective Members of the St. Joseph Family,
It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to St. Joseph Catholic
School. Our mission is to teach our students to know, love, and
serve God through academic pursuits, spiritual development, and
community service. We believe that what is accomplished in a
Catholic school is at the heart of the Church and her mission to
teach the Gospel to all nations. Without constant reference to the
Gospel and a frequent encounter with Christ, our school loses its
purpose.
Parents give many reasons why they choose Catholic schools.
According to the latest research, the top three reasons are
quality religious education, safe environment, and quality
academic instruction. Students at St. Joseph Catholic School
experience a learning environment where all aspects of the school
day are accentuated by the light of Faith. Academically, students
do not just learn the skills needed to function in society—they
learn to be somebody. Moreover, St. Joseph students can pursue
their studies in security, protected by a 24-hour surveillance
system.
Finally, students and their families choose St. Joseph Catholic
School for the sense of community and camaraderie created by the
superb faculty and the supportive families of the school.
Pre-kindergarten through fifth grades are offered, and
after-school supervision is available.
Starting on April 1, applications for new enrollees to St.
Joseph’s for the 2010-2011 school year will be accepted. Each
student must register by filling out the application and
submitting the $75 registration fee. We must have, at the time of
registration, copies of the enrolling student’s birth certificate,
immunization record, and Sacramental certificates if Catholic. All
applications received before April 1 will receive equal priority
on the waiting list, according to the school’s policies.
I invite your family to start your journey with us and experience
what can be found nowhere else but St. Joseph Catholic School.
Grace and peace,
Wade A. Laffey
